LEGO 41040: Friends, 60063: City, 75056: Star Wars 2014 Advent Calendar, Day One Review.

I can't believe it's that time of year! The last 12 months have zipped past so fast! So many sets have been brought and very little have been built. Now it's December 1st again, so just like last year we will review all 3 Advent Calenders. Chloe will have the 41040: Friends, Jaspa will have the 75056: Star Wars and I will have the 60063: City Advent Calender.

LEGO 41040: Friends Advent Calendar
The set contains 228 pieces and retails for $49.99.

In this mornings first day door reveal Chloe got herself a Mia Minidoll. Mia's Torso was first worn by Stephanie in last years Advent Calendar. I believe this is the first time Mia's pants have been worn by a female Minidoll. Every other time these pants have been used, they have been worn by a male Minidoll.

Day one for me was this little guy. All parts are pretty common, so nothing real special about him. He does have a double sided torso print with a hoodie on the back.

A couple of interesting spares: A hair piece and a printed envelope.

Jaspa got something a little bit more meaty for his first day. He got to build an AAT (Armored Assault Tank) in the CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems) paint scheme. There are 14 pieces used to build the AAT.

Today's Spares from the SW Calendar.

The kids (including me) were pumped to open our doors today! It officially means Christmas is a comin!
Chloe was happy to see Mia behind her first door, I guess that means tomorrow there might be something to build for Mia to use?
Jaspa loved his little tank. He is easily impressed. If you remember last year he went crazy over a simple gun rack lol.
Me? My first day? Well, I've seen it before. From a Winter Village maybe? or close enough.
The mornings will be fun again for daddy,  instead of telling them to get dressed. It will be "quickly... build, then get dressed!" HA!
We all get to build a little something and it might... Might make it into the Winter Village MOC :-P

That's it for Day One of the Advent Calendar review. Thank you for dropping by and check in with us each day and see what little goodie we get to build tomorrow. :-)

Tan Tile signing out! See you tomorrow!

  2. Same here. I thought that extra hair piece was especially odd. My reaction: http://playingwithbricks.blogspot.com/.
