LEGO Exclusive 40083: Christmas Tree Truck Review.

Yesterday I received my delivery from S@H. I ordered 10235: Winter Village Market to finish off our Christmas nativity scene. Also with the order and to push it over the $150 for free delivery, I ordered the last 3 Star Wars series 4 planets. There was a sale on for VIP members on the weekend of the 23rd of November and I was wrapped to get them for $12.79 instead of $15.99. I had planned to get them with this purchase anyway so a little saving is a good saving.   :-)
Included with the order for free was part 2 of the Creator set 40083: Christmas Tree Truck as an Exclusive Promotion. Today we are going to look at the set that is a companion to 40082: Christmas Tree Stand.

LEGO Shop Exclusive 40083: Christmas Tree Truck.
The set contains 118 pieces Free with orders over $100.
Comes with 1 Minifigure: Christmas Tree Truck, Trolley and a small Christmas Tree.

Note: All photo's can be clicked on for a larger view.

The front shows the the Red Truck with an old man pushing a trolley. This is another is a cute little set! In the corner like the previous set it informs you that this is a Limited Edition 2013.

Just like the back of part 1 the back of this box shows you how both Exclusive sets look added together.

Inside of the box the you get 3 unnumbered bags and a couple of loose pieces. You also get a folded  instruction booklet.

All the parts lined out. Some nice Dark Red pieces and the newish 1x2 curved slopes in Dark Bluish Grey.

The old man Minifigure has a double sided torso print which can only be found in one other set 9389: Community Starter Set. Making it a somewhat rare piece. He has a single sided face print.

Here we have a quick step by step build of the Truck. After its built the set is finished.

And here it is! Completed! A sweet looking ride!

Finally here are the spares you get from the set.

Some more photos from a few different angles and one with both sets together.

This was just as much fun to build as it was when I built the first set. Some very interesting techniques were used to build the truck that I have not seen used in a set before. I love the side steps on the side. they remind me of my Dads old F100 back in the day.  Both of these sets will complement the Winter Village theme rather nicely. All in all a fantastic little set, that you really should try to track down! I'm pleased I have it and with both sets next to each other, they look perfect. I wonder what they will come up with next year?

Thanks again for reading and I hope you enjoyed this review!

As always and if you want too, let us know in the comments below, what you think of the set. I would love to hear others opinions on it.

Tan Tile... out!

    1. Thank you... They really do look great together! I just built our WVM, It was a good build, Very different to the other sets. Kind of repetitive as you get to the end. Just a tip: Keep a Micro cloth handy for the mirror like stickers.
